Jessica Ferdowsian

I became a chiropractor because I enjoy helping people achieve the life they want.

Dr. Ferdowsian, DC DACBSP CCEP

Clinic Manager

Meet chiropractor, Dr. Ferdowsian of Governor’s Park Chiropractic. I became a chiropractor because I enjoy helping people achieve the life they want. I know that pain and discomfort can prevent a person from enjoying sports and hobbies, time with family and friends, exercise, and even working to pay the bills. My extensive education has made it possible for me to help people like you get back on your feet and back to doing the things you love doing.

It all began at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri. While there, I studied Diversified, Thompson Drop Table, Gonstead, SOT, Flexion Distraction, and Biophysics techniques. Basically, this means I can adjust you in a lot of different ways. I also completed my acupuncture certification while in school. I have found that most of my patients respond very well to a combination of acupuncture and chiropractic, especially for pain relief. I came to Denver in 2003 after graduating and started my practice. Since graduation, I have completed post-graduate training in extremity diagnosis and treatment, earning the title Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner, or CCEP. This additional education has helped me specialize in treating and preventing injuries to the muscles and bones that aren’t part of the spine, such as the knees, ankles, shoulders, and wrists. I have also completed post-graduate training in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sports injuries, earning the title Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, DACBSP®. I understand that my diverse patient base exhibits very different needs. In response, I will continue to further my education allowing me the ability to offer a wide range of treatment options. My future education goals include obtaining my diplomate in sports medicine and in pediatrics.

I believe in treating the whole body. Through chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage, good nutrition, and exercise, I strive to achieve good health for all of my patients, not just an absence of symptoms. If you have any questions about chiropractic care and how it relates to the health of you and your family, I welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

Dr. Tristen Dervish, DC

Chiropractor

Dr. Tristen Dervish was born and raised in Rockland County, NY. Growing up, he was an avid athlete who competed at the national level for the Suffern Track and Field team and at the Varsity level for the Suffern Soccer Team. As a young athlete in high school, Tristen suffered a severe hamstring injury during a track meet that was career ending. He was introduced to the profession of Chiropractic and after 3 months of treatment was able to obtain a full recovery and get back to doing what he loved. Tristen was once again able to compete, and he knew that Chiropractic would be his way to help those in need. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Spanish at Fredonia State University, he began studying at New York Chiropractic College (Northeast College of Health Sciences) in Seneca Falls, NY. Tristen participated in many clubs and seminars throughout his post-graduate education including Motion Palpation Institute (MPI), Active Release Technique (ART), ConnexTX (IASTM), Flexion/Distraction and Advanced Whole Foods Nutrition to enrich both his knowledge and skills to provide the best evidence-based care for his patients. Tristen has always had an appreciation for the outdoors and enjoys living an active lifestyle. He recently relocated to Colorado in December 2021 and is looking forward to serving the Denver community. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, summiting mountains, spending time with his loved ones, and continuing his education to better care for his patients.

Jessica Ferdowsian

Office Manager

I was born in Chicago and have been slowly moving west ever since!  I absolutely love Denver.  The weather is amazing here and the people are so wonderful.  I have felt at home from the first day I lived here.  I am married to Dr. Ferdowsian and we have five beautiful children – Tristan, Makenzie, Gwyneth, Fiona and Declan.  Because of my rambunctious children, I mainly work from home so you won’t see my face in the office very much.  But I am here to answer your questions or offer any help you need.  Although I don’t have much, when I am able to find some free time I love spending it outdoors with my kids or knitting.

Kaley Barklage

I am originally from South Carolina and moved around a bit, but have settled in Denver for the last 5 years! In my free time I am either hiking or going for car rides.

Dr. Juliann Whitney

Dr. Juliann Whitney is passionate about holistic healthcare and helping people reach their health goals. Born and raised in Maryland, she received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Bachelor of Arts Psychology. She then graduated with her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic- Florida campus. During her time at Palmer College she was an officer of the Motion Palpation Institute club, and also participated in a sports clinical rotation working on D1 football players at Bethune-Cookman University. Dr. Whitney has experience using multiple different techniques including Flexion/Distraction, Active Release Technique, and IASTM. She moved to Colorado in January or 2022 for an internship and stayed for her love of the outdoors. When she’s not in the office caring for patients, you can find her going for a hike or doing yoga in the park.

Dr. Michaela Sievers, DC

Dr. Michaela became a chiropractor to help people live happier, healthier lives. That looks different for each of us, so she meets you where you are in your health needs. She considers your current condition and personal goals to empower you to recover from pain and improve your overall wellness.

Hands-on manual chiropractic adjustments are the most common treatments Dr. Michaela uses, but depending on your needs and preferences, she may use other techniques including Activator and gentle mobilizations. Other therapies she may recommend to help you feel your best include: trigger point muscle release, intersegmental traction, spinal decompression, acupuncture, dry needling, supplements, stretches or exercises, and more.

Dr. Michaela earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. Her background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. She moved to Denver in 2020 and has been working as a chiropractor in the Denver area ever since. Outside of chiropractic, she enjoys spending time with her partner, hiking, reading, music, and going to local art shows and festivals.

Originally from New York, Manon relocated to Denver in 2021, and hasn’t looked back since. When she’s not working, you can find her skiing, hiking, or curled up with her cat and a good book.

Let’s collaborate on getting your body feeling better soon!

Dr. Jess Mahoney, DC

Hi all, I’m Dr. Jess! I am so excited to help you get out of pain with holistic care and I can’t wait to meet you. I grew up in southern Louisiana and have been dreaming of living in Colorado since I was in college. My background before chiropractic was mainly sports rehab and biomechanics, as I’ve been an athlete my whole life! Some hobbies of mine are hiking with my dog, running, playing soccer, and CrossFit. Welcome to the office!

Dr. Natalie Degallier, DC

Hello!  I’m Dr. Natalie and I look forward to the opportunity to help you reach your health goals.  I love working with patients to get them back to doing what they love most.  Whether it’s heading back to the gym, more enjoyment of the sports you play, recovering from an injury, being active with your kids and grandkids, or routine maintenance, let’s work together to see it happen.

I grew up in Minnesota, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Movement Science from Winona State University.  My next stop was Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa to earn my Doctorate in Chiropractic. Following graduation, I landed here in Colorado and have fallen in love with all it has to offer.

Outside of work you will find me hiking with my dog, going to the gym, reading, or attending concerts.  It has been fun making new friends and taking advantage of all Colorado has to offer!

Justin Rice

Massage Therapist

After working as an electrical engineer, teacher, and nursing assistant, Justin found that he can make the most personally meaningful contribution as a massage therapist. He received his training from the Colorado School of Healing Arts and enjoys employing neuromuscular, fascial, and lymphatic drainage techniques. He believes that partnership with clients is most beneficial in supporting them to live a healthier life.

Paula Zakrzewski, DC

Dr. Zakrzewski became a chiropractor because she loves how the correct combination of chiropractic treatment, exercise, and nutrition can improve peoples’ lives. She is excited to help patients reach their goals—whether that is to move without pain, squat heavier in the gym, lift their grandchildren, sit at their desks comfortably, recover from a nagging injury, or reduce their baby’s colic.

Dr. Zak grew up in Nebraska and earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in nutrition at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic at Cleveland University-Kansas City where she studied Diversified, Motion Palpation Institute, Thompson, Activator, Webster, and drop table techniques. While at CUKC, she fell in love with the rehab side of the profession. She immersed herself in acute and chronic injury recovery with adjustments in combination with soft tissue modalities, taping, and home care exercises to reinforce the chiropractic treatment outside of the office where necessary. Simply put, she is prepared to provide different options for your individual treatment. She prefers to improve overall musculoskeletal function to eradicate pain; therefore, she is certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Functional Movement Screen, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization.

Dr. Zak has been a chiropractor in the Front Range since graduating from CUKC. When Dr. Zak is not in the office, you can find her spending time with friends and family, hiking, reading, weightlifting, watching any kind of sport, and sight-seeing around Colorado.

I have been doing Massage Therapy since 2016. I absolutely love what I do. It’s such a rewarding career and I love to make people’s day better.

Kristin Pedersen

Massage Therapist

Greetings, my name is Kristin Pedersen.

I am a Colorado native who graduated from The Denver School of Massage Therapy in March of 2013. Though my career has been spent in the Spa industry, my passion in this field and my intentions have always been to help heal the body and get my clients closer to a Pain Free body.

Through a variety of modalities, exercises done at home and the right wellness plan, I believe as a team we can get each client’s body back on track.
Aside from the passion I hold for my career, outside of work I enjoy bowling, arts and crafts, hanging out with my family/friends, traveling, or cuddling with my cat and a good book.

I look forward to helping you move forward in your wellness journey.
